Why Google has no new year doodle in india?

My respect for Google has gone many notches up. They really understand the sentiments of the audience.

On various occasions they use Google Doodle to engage with people. On 31st Dec 2012  also they posted new year party doodles all over the world.

But looking to the Indian sentiments of grieving for the young girl Damini, Google India didn't post a party Doodle. Instead there was a candle burning silently.


A very sensitive gesture indeed.
